Our Story

Windrose Oils was originally established by a family-owned business in Johannesburg, South Africa. CJP Chemicals bought the Windrose Brand and it has since transformed into a recognizable retail product. 

In 2020, Windrose evolved and Wellness by Windrose was created. The brand has shifted in line with the current market trends and our core focus is on wellness and self-care. 

Classifications

  • Carrier Oil

    Also known as vegetable or base oils and is 100% pure and natural. The extraction method is commonly cold-pressed.

    Many benefits to hair, skin and nails. Safe for direct use on the hair and skin.

  • Essential | Aromatherapy Oil

    These are pure and natural oils and are used in aromatherapy treatment. Most commonly they are steam distilled in batches from the different parts of a plant, flower or other botanical.

    Each oil is unique and is used for a different function in aromatherapy. These need to be used cautiously and should be diluted in a base product.

  • Nature Identical & Blended Oil

    These are made up of either synthetic and/or natural ingredients and are classified as fragrance or perfume oil. They can be used in oil burners and in body products for their aromatic effects.

    They do not have therapeutic benefits.

Carrier Oils

These oils are cold-pressed from the nuts, seeds or kernels of part of a plant and are rich in fatty acids. They can be applied topically to the skin as a natural moisturiser or blended with essential oils for use in body therapies. Windrose carrier oils are cosmetic grade and are not to be used for cooking or ingestion.

Suggested use
Our range of quality cold-pressed vegetable oils is safe for use when applied directly to the skin.

 
 
 

Aromatherapy Oils

Our wide range of aromatherapy oils includes pure and natural as well as nature-identical fragrance oils. These oils are responsibly sourced and manufactured to provide you with a quality sensory experience. Our aim is to encourage natural alternatives to everyday health and well being. These oils are commonly used in massage blends, aromatherapy treatments, diffusers, bath products, pet care and general household cleaning.

Essential oils are highly concentrated and contra-indicated in some medical conditions, including pregnancy. Please take extra care when using our oils. Oils are not to be taken orally.

Suggested uses
Dilute and/or blend with a carrier oil and use in a burner, diffuser or in massage.
